Vikinor sponsors Denmark Women’s Rugby Sevens Team

Vikinor partners with Rugby Danmark as Principal Sponsor of the Denmark Women’s Rugby Sevens team, fueling their Olympic ambition and championing Nordic excellence.

In that spirit, we’re immensely excited to announce our Principal Sponsorship of the Denmark’s Rugby Sevens Women’s National Team in partnership with Rugby Danmark.

After a historically successful 2024 for the ladies, we’re looking forward to back the squad over the next 5 years in their sky-high ambition of qualifying for the HSBC SVNS & Olympics rugby series. It reflects the long-term strategic planning and excellence which we ourselves try to bring to our own growth journey here at Vikinor.

Vikinor co-owner and rugby mom Lotte Norgreen explains: “Supporting the Danish women’s national 7s rugby team is more than just a sponsorship, it’s a reflection of Vikinor values. We are hoping that through their strength, resilience, and teamwork we will see the girls not only succeed but showcase Denmark as a new player on the global rugby stage.”

Vikinor Nordic Cup

To kick off the partnership, Vikinor sponsored the Rugby Sevens Vikinor Nordic Cup, the biggest pan-Nordic Women’s Rugby Sevens event of the year. Teams from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland competed

The national team’s coach, Nina Vistisen has this to say: “This is our biggest season yet for the Denmark Women’s Sevens team and the Vikinor Nordic Cup – where the best players across Scandinavia come to test their mettle – is a key milestone on our road to the European Champion. For us, it is an essential step in preparing the squad for the intensity and demands of the Euros.”
