Vikinor earns EcoVadis Committed badge
Vikinor has received the EcoVadis Committed badge following its latest sustainability assessment.
This recognition reflects the work being done across the organization and represents an encouraging milestone in our sustainability journey. It confirms that relevant policies, processes, and documentation are in place, while also clearly highlighting where further improvement will have the greatest impact.
How the assessment works
EcoVadis assesses how companies manage sustainability across four themes: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The evaluation considers policies that define intent, actions that demonstrate implementation, and reporting that documents results. Together, these elements provide a structured view of both direction and execution and are reviewed annually.
Our approach to sustainability
The EcoVadis assessment evaluates how sustainability is managed through policies, processes, and documented practices. At Vikinor, these management systems are built around the way we design, operate, and support our solutions over time.
A core part of Vikinor’s approach is to design solutions that operate efficiently over a long service life. Guidance supports careful use and maintenance, while service parts and diagnostics help extend equipment lifetime rather than replace it. Safer materials are prioritized, and the generation of hazardous substances and waste continues to decline. Energy performance improves through technology upgrades and the purchase or generation of renewable energy.
Responsible operations
Responsible business is rooted in people and integrity. Vikinor upholds a living wage commitment and maintains health and safety programs covering training and emergency planning, including for non-employee workers on site. Policies address anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, money laundering, and information security. A confidential whistleblowing channel is in place to ensure concerns can be raised and addressed appropriately.
Extending impact through the value chain
Sustainable procurement plays an important role in addressing environmental and social risks beyond Vikinor’s own operations. By setting clear expectations and integrating sustainability considerations into procurement processes, impacts can be managed more consistently across the value chain.
A supplier sustainability code of conduct defines expectations, and environmental and social requirements are embedded in supplier contracts. Engagement with suppliers focuses on transparency and continuous improvement, helping strengthen practices over time where risks and impacts are most relevant.
Where we go next
The assessment highlighted opportunities to further strengthen performance. Data collection will be expanded across environmental, social, ethics, and procurement indicators, providing a stronger foundation for setting reduction targets and improving visibility into Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions. Cybersecurity policies and controls are being strengthened, alongside more robust supplier management and sustainable procurement processes.
Across the organization, management systems are being further documented and aligned to ensure improvements are repeatable and scalable. The focus now is on building on this foundation, improving again in 2026, and progressing toward Bronze and beyond.
