Stefan’s journey from student to full-time employee at Vikinor

We sat down with Stefan Ravichandran from the marketing department at Vikinor HQ where he shared his experiences starting his career at Vikinor.
When Stefan first walked through Vikinor’s doors in January 2024, he was a student assistant balancing his studies at Copenhagen Business School with hands-on experience in the real world of international marketing and management.
From day one, his self-starter mentality and friendly personality made him more than just an extra set of hands – he became a valued part of the team. By the time he graduated, there was no question: Stefan was here to stay. Now as a full-time member of Vikinor, he continues to bring fresh ideas and energy to the team.
Here’s his experience in his own words.
Could you tell us about yourself?
My name is Stefan. I’m 25 years old, and I live in Copenhagen. I work as a marketing associate here at Vikinor, and I actually started as a student assistant here.

I would say innovative!
What makes working at Vikinor special?
I have a lot of colleagues from different cultures and different countries, and that’s always really nice to interact with people with different backgrounds. I’m surrounded by very good people. They’re very good at helping me. They’re very good at supporting me with the different tasks if I need to understand something better. I’m very happy with this working environment. I can already see that I have improved a lot on different aspects and I also had the opportunity to join different international exhibitions.
How has your career grown at Vikinor?
As I mentioned before, I started as a marketing student assistant here and I kickstarted my career here as a full-time marketing associate later on when I graduated. I can really see there are a lot of opportunities for my personal development and opportunities for me to grow in this company. I’ve been given a lot of responsibility and that’s within market research, that’s within LinkedIn and managing other social media channels. And it keeps motivating me to do better, to improve myself, and to develop my skills. That’s also a very important part of this personal growth aspect.
To be honest, I had a very limited knowledge about the industry when I joined here as a marketing student assistant. But when I joined and got to understand the industry better, it was really interesting for me to see how valuable and how important critical infrastructure solutions are to society in general.
